Philosophizing must be a work of art that is always on the brink of failure; a befriending of the power of imaginative vision that already stretches too far until it reaches contradiction and breaks down. Only in this reaching beyond does philosophizing return to World-Being. Only in this belonging in failure does philosophizing brave the cost of daring Transcendence. Only in this tension betwixt actuality and possibility do we obtain to the gesture of Existence. Elsewise, the easy phrase “I am responsible” intends nothing more than “I have taken shelter in my excuses.”
